A short announcement to present a third pillar of the Church of Catherine:

Always attend Remembrance Day Ceremonies.

Can I be part of the Church if I've only got two out of the three pillars?

What if you're swamped in homework, but have worn a poppy for two weeks and watch the ceremong in Ottawa on TV with a box of kleenex? Does that come close?

Ahem, I mean "ceremony".

Did you make it to Ottawa last weekend? After five Remembrance Days in this city I finally went this year. Not as moving as I thought it would be, what with standing half a block away from the actual ceremony because of the crowds. Still neat though.

(sorry, typos in the last one...) This is actually not the pillar I'm having trouble keeping. Attend the ceremony, I did, although I almost prefer Charlottetown's to Hamilton's, I'm still trying to figure out why.

Donating blood is the pillar I'm avoiding.

As with all pillars, one should make best attempts. Except blister-packed gum. That stuff is bullshit.

Because of you I am now vigilant in my non-blister pack gum buying!

I also love that this tiny post has led to so many comments!

Thanks, my minions, for making this post so successful with all the comments. I was so happy to add this Pillar to the Cathric Church.
