Eat Your Heart Out, Self Loathing!

A short note to announce that I did a half shoulder stand (left) for the first time last night! Huzzah! I tried to straighten into a full stand, but I was so excited, I almost fell over, so I tried to concentrate on the half.

I think I just didn't trust myself to try in previous weeks. I don't think it was anything to do with my weight, but my attitude. I think we've all learned a valuable life lesson here, today, people.

Take a lesson from Key Stone. There is no physical feat of balance or trick falling that can't be done by any human form, if you want it bad enough!

And please don't go on about your "weight," or those of us who double you will have to kick your relatively-skinny arse in.

Kidding! Kidding!

I'm so glad you posted a picture of the shoulder stand. I couldn't quite visualize it until I saw the picture. I was thinking it was some sort of headstand performed by scrunching your shoulders, which sounded really painful. This one looks quite difficult, too. Huzzah for shoulder stands!!

You're welcome, Lou! And actually, once you calm your body down and trust it not to collapse, it was pretty easy. It feels like you're floating!
